Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use this website, book a visit, or hire K-Sump Solutions (“we,” “K-Sump”) to perform work. Using the site means you agree to them.

The site and the work are separate

Information on this website — articles, service pages, the guarantee — is general guidance. It is not a professional assessment. Every sump pump and basement is different. Actual scope, pricing, and recommendations are delivered in writing after an on-site assessment.

Booking

• Booked appointments are held for you. If a deposit applies, it's collected at booking via Stripe.
• Cancellations more than 24 hours before the appointment are refunded in full. Later cancellations may forfeit the deposit at our discretion — we'll always communicate before that happens.
• Emergency work is prioritized over scheduled assessments. We'll give you as much notice as we can if something shifts.

Quotes and work authorization

• After the on-site assessment, we provide a fixed-price written quote. No hourly surprises.
• We don't begin installation or major work without your written (or text) approval.
• If a condition is discovered during work that wasn't visible during assessment, we stop, call you, and get explicit approval before proceeding.

Payment

• Final payment is due on completion unless we've agreed to different terms in writing.
• We accept credit card, ACH, check, and cash.
• Past-due balances may accrue interest at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by Ohio law.

Warranty

Covered in detail on Our Guarantee. In short: equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty (typically three years), we cover our labor for one year, and customers on our K-Guard maintenance plan get extended labor coverage. The warranty does not cover damage from power surges, flooding that exceeds the system's design capacity, or third-party modifications.

Limitations of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by Ohio law, our total liability for any claim related to our work is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service in question. We are not liable for consequential damages (lost rent, hotel stays, business interruption) except as required by law or a separate written agreement.

Use of the website

• Don't scrape the site, spam our forms, or try to break things.
• Don't use our name, logo, or content to imply an endorsement or affiliation that doesn't exist.
• Article content is provided for informational use. Reach out if you'd like to reference or republish something.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Disputes are handled in Franklin County, Ohio.

Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. The effective date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
